<p><span style="font-size: 12pt">We are hoping you will join us as a <strong>Member Liaison Specialist (Behavioral Health)</strong> and help shape the future of healthcare where you’ll be an integral part of our <strong>Behavioral Health </strong>team, helping to strive for excellence while we serve our member health with dignity, respecting the value and needs of each of our members through collaboration with our providers, community partners and local stakeholders. This position has been approved to be <strong>Full Telework</strong>. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt">The Member Liaison Specialist (Behavioral Health) will be responsible for assisting Medi-Cal and OneCare members with behavioral health care management needs in a call center environment, including securing behavioral health appointments for members, following up with members before and after the initial appointment, providing members with information, referring to community resources and assisting members in navigating the behavioral health system of care. You will act as a consultative liaison to assist members, behavioral health providers, health networks and community agencies to coordinate behavioral health services. The incumbent will also participate in various behavioral health initiatives and projects in support of the Behavioral Health Integration department. </span><span style="font-size: 12pt">Together, we are building a stronger, more equitable health system. </span></p>

<li>Coordinates member’s behavioral health needs within and outside of CalOptima Health to ensure the coordination of member’s care.</li>
<li>Collaborates and communicates with the member, caregiver and behavioral health network providers to support successful linkage to behavioral health services.</li>
<li>Maintains documentation of member cases within the Medical Management system.</li>
<li>Initiates referrals to internal and external care management departments and other government agencies.</li>
<li>Develops and maintains a network of current community resources and services where members can be referred to for assistance. <br><br></li>

<li><span style="font-size: 12pt">High school diploma or equivalent PLUS 2 years of experience in behavioral health, community service or other social service setting required; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above may also be qualifying.<br></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 12pt">Have access to an approved means of transportation for work away from the primary office approximately 5% of the time required.</span></li>
