This role sits at the intersection of deep technical expertise and strategic sales—translating complex mission needs into deployable, scalable solutions.</p> <p>As a highly skilled Senior Solutions Engineer, you will leverage your expertise to deliver pre-sales engineering support as a subject matter expert. This role involves extensive engagement with customers and partners, ensuring the highest technical and professional standards while upholding SS8’s customer-first approach. You will serve as the primary technical representative to customers, articulating SS8’s solution capabilities and playing a key role in influencing customer decisions and successful solution adoption.</p> <p>You’ll partner closely with sales, product, and delivery teams to drive technical wins, shape customer architectures, and ensure SS8 solutions align with operational and compliance requirements.</p> <p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p> <p><strong>Pre-Sales & Solution Engineering</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer mission requirements across lawful intercept, location intelligence, and data analytics.</li> <li>Represent SS8 and its partner ecosystem in designing and delivering end-to-end solutions tailored to customer and prospect requirements spanning telecom networks, data collection, mediation, analytics, and visualization platforms.</li> <li>Own the technical sales cycle: architecture, solution positioning, demos, POCs, and RFP/RFI responses with innovative and differentiated approaches.</li> <li>Translate vague “we need intel” asks into concrete system designs (and push back when needed).</li> </ul> <p><strong>Customer Engagement</strong></p> <ul> <li>Act as a trusted technical advisor to LEA, IC, and telecom stakeholders.</li> <li>Present complex solutions clearly to both engineers and non-technical decision-makers.</li> <li>Support customer workshops, technical deep dives, and executive briefings.</li> <li>Bridge the gap between operational users and IT/network teams.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Architecture & Integration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop high-level and detailed architectures integrating SS8 solutions into existing customer environments.</li> <li>Ensure alignment with telecom standards, lawful intercept frameworks, and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure smooth transition from design to implementation.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Sales Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner with account teams to develop winning strategies for new and existing opportunities.</li> <li>Own creation of proposals, quotes, SOWs, and technical documentation.</li> <li>Support competitive positioning and articulate differentiators.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Product & Feedback Loop</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide structured feedback to product management on emerging trends, customer challenges, requirements analysis and field-driven insights based on field experience.</li> <li>Influence product direction with real-world use cases and customer pain points.</li> </ul> <p><strong><em><u>Relevant Experience and Skills</u></em></strong></p> <p><strong>Technical Expertise</strong></p> <ul> <li>7+ years in solution and systems engineering, sales engineering, network engineering, or solution architecture.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to design and size high-capacity, high-performance, mission-critical systems.</li> <li>Strong understanding of telecom network architectures and signaling protocols:</li> <ul> <li>3G, 4G LTE/EPC, and 5G Core</li> <li>IMS, VoLTE, VoIP</li> <li>IP networking (routing, switching, protocols)</li> </ul> <li>Experience with lawful intercept frameworks and systems.</li> <li>Solid understanding of data flows, packet capture, and network-based data collection.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Domain Knowledge</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience supporting or working with:</li> <ul> <li>Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA)</li> <li>Intelligence Community (IC)</li> <li>Telecommunications Service Providers (CSPs)</li> </ul> <li>Exposure to OSINT, location intelligence, or analytics platforms is a strong plus.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with virtualization and/or cloud-native environments.</li> <li>Solid knowledge of databases and storage systems.</li> <li>Understanding of compliance, regulatory, and legal considerations in telecom and surveillance environments.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Sales Engineering Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven ability to run technical sales cycles and close complex deals.
