National University holds accreditation through the Western Senior College and Universities Commission (WSCUC).</p><p></p><p><b>Position Summary</b></p><p><span>The Department of Psychology, in the JFK School of Psychology and Social Sciences at the National University, invites applications for <span>part-time faculty </span></span>in Psychology. <span>The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of or potential for excellence in teaching in their field and a commitment to serving the university’s diverse adult student body. The successful candidate will have the potential for a commitment to serving the university’s diverse adult student body. </span>This position primarily works closely with the Academic Program Director and other faculty within the program and contributes to ensuring program quality, student engagement, and success.</p><p></p><p><b><u>Essential Job Duties:</u></b></p><ul><li>Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on various assessment activities.</li><li>Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive student-centric learning environment.</li><li>Complete required tasks on deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, input for grade appeals, etc.)</li><li>Maintain appropriate professional training and/or scholarly activities, when applicable.</li><li>Provide feedback to the course lead regarding the course content.</li><li>Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Qualifications:</u></b></p><ul><li><span>Doctoral degree with a focus in Psychology or related field required, PhD preferred.</span></li><li><span>Research-based, scholarly, peer-reviewed journal article publications, required.</span></li><li><span>Experience with the online delivery of education and the systems that support it, required.</span></li><li><span>Graduate level qualitative methods, quantitative methods, or statistics teaching experience preferred.</span></li><li><span>Experience as a member of a dissertation committee, preferably as the chair/advisor required.</span></li><li><span>Content expertise in one or more of the following areas preferred, but not required: trauma, substance use/addictions, the use and impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI)</span></li><li><span>All skills, abilities and education will be considered for minimum qualifications.</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>For full consideration, interested candidates should provide the following.</span></b></p><ul><li>A cover letter.</li><li>A curriculum vita.</li><li>Statement of teaching experience online and/or onsite for a diverse student body.</li></ul><p></p><p><span>#LI-Remote</span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><span>Candidate receiving offers </span><span>will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.  Absent exceptional circumstances, candidates will be offered a salary within this range for this position.
