The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.<br><br></em><strong>Your Responsibilities<br><br></strong>As a <strong>Sr. Fluids Engineer</strong> for <strong>John Deere Intelligent Solutions, </strong> you will:<br><br><ul><li>Lead and coordinate complex vehicle and engine fluids development and test programs. Serve as technical integrator across materials, fluids, and components</li><li>Interface with suppliers, external labs, and internal engineering partners. Foster ongoing business relationships within fluids industry.</li><li>Provide documented engineering judgment supporting design decisions. Improve continuity and consistency across testing and analysis activities. Lead development of fluids specifications (JDM) and test procedures (JDQ)</li><li>Provide technical and application support to engine-coolant projects with goal of becoming subject matter expert. <br><br></li></ul><strong>VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position<br><br></strong><strong>What Skills You Need<br><br></strong><ul><li>Five or more years of experience in a combination of: fluid development, lubrication engineering, validation/testing, hydraulic or thermal systems, materials/fluid compatibility</li><li>Established business relationships in fluids industry (suppliers, laboratories, professional organizations)</li><li>Knowledge of lubricants, hydraulic fluids, coolants, fuels, and respective industries</li><li>Understanding of fluid/material compatibility with metals, elastomers, polymers, seals, and coatings</li><li>Experience developing or executing fluids test plans, validation matrices, or qualification procedures</li><li>Knowledge of industry standards such as ASTM, SAE, ISO, or OEM specifications</li><li>Expert in fluid properties such as viscosity, density, thermal stability, oxidation resistance, foaming, corrosion protection, and compatibility</li><li>Familiarity with supplier technical reviews and specification writing</li><li>Supplier collaboration for fluid development or troubleshooting</li><li>Ability to travel up to 25% based on business needs<br><br></li></ul><strong>What Makes You Stand Out<br><br></strong><ul><li>Deep experience leading fluid-related development programs</li><li>Ability to define requirements, influence specifications, and guide validation strategy</li><li>Experience in electrification, thermal management, or advanced materials compatibility</li><li>Application experience in developing diesel engine and/or hydraulic systems</li><li>Project management skills: tracking actions, timelines, risks, and deliverables <br><br></li></ul><strong>Education<br><br></strong>Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:<br><br><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field<br><br></li></ul><strong>What You'll Get<br><br></strong>At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
