THE CHALLENGE

Eventbrite's business continues to grow and scale rapidly, powering millions of live events across the world. As we partner with event creators to bring the best and most unique experiences for our event attendees, we are investing heavily in building innovative AI-powered tools and interfaces. We are looking for a creative problem solver who enjoys tinkering with new tools and technology. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will ideate, prototype, experiment and iterate on new ideas that drive innovation for this global platform.

THE TEAM

Eventbrite powers millions of live events for hundreds of millions of attendees each year across over 170 countries. The Innovation Team explores AI and ML technologies, prototypes new products and features, rapidly experiments to validate them at scale, and partners closely with peer dev teams to methodically take them to market.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Innovation team, you will rapidly prototype and release new ideas, run experiments, and iterate based on results. You’ll partner across the company to shape concepts into viable MVPs and build automation that streamlines internal operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, you’ll help graduate prototypes into full-scale production, while evaluating AI and ML tools for integration into our tech stack. In addition, you’ll contribute to hiring, onboarding, and mentoring engineers, fostering a transparent culture where ownership and impact are core values.

THE TECH STACK

As part of the Eventbrite Innovation Team, you will prototype using the best technologies for each project while leveraging Eventbrite’s established engineering stack, including React, React Native, and AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, and ECS/Fargate. The team embraces flexibility to experiment with emerging frameworks and AI/ML tools for rapid proofs of concept, while utilizing the broader company stack to scale successful prototypes into production. This approach ensures we remain at the forefront of innovation while maintaining alignment with Eventbrite’s core technologies.
