SVG operates THRIVE, a global agrifood innovation network and corporate partnership program.<br><br><strong>The role<br><br></strong>The Analyst is a key contributor to the firm's deal pipeline - an execution-heavy role spanning top-of-funnel triage, market and competitive research, financial models, IC memo support, portfolio data tracking, and LP reporting. You'll contribute to live deals from day one.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Triage inbound deal flow and surface top-decile companies into weekly pipeline review</li><li>Build thesis-driven target lists and run targeted outreach; run first calls and write crisp intake notes</li><li>Build market sizing, competitive landscapes, and reference-call programs; assess technology and scientific risk</li><li>Construct and stress-test financial models, cap tables, and return scenarios; draft IC memo sections</li><li>Collect and validate quarterly portfolio KPIs and maintain dashboards</li><li>Prepare quarterly LP reporting packages and maintain data rooms<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor's in a STEM field, or business with a STEM minor (life sciences, ag/food science, biotech, engineering, chemistry, or environmental science preferred)</li><li>0-2 years post-undergrad; strong internships in scope</li><li>Strong written communication and analytical skills; comfortable with Excel and Airtable</li><li>Demonstrated interest in venture capital, frontier technology, or agrifood</li><li>AI fluency - actively using and forming opinions on AI tools for research and diligence</li><li>Self-starter able to manage multiple priorities; available 2-3 days/week at SVG HQ<br><br></li></ul>Compensation: competitive, commensurate with experience.
