Sorenson’s investments in product leaders include Amplitude, BambooHR, Bridgecrew, Couchbase, Fastly, Harness, and Socure.<br><br>Role and Responsibilities<br><br>Sorenson Capital is hiring an Associate to join the firm’s Growth practice in either Palo Alto, CA or Lehi, UT, starting in the Summer of 2026, and this role requires a two-year commitment.<br><br>Associates at Sorenson Capital have a broad range of responsibilities across the full life-cycle of an investment, from sourcing deal prospects and analyzing new deals to working with existing portfolio companies. Associates are expected to evaluate and screen new opportunities, perform complex financial and data analysis, and assist in industry and competitive due diligence. Associates work closely on a team with experienced investment professionals and partners.<br><br>Following the two-year Investment Associate program, Sorenson Capital’s leadership works to help place Associates into top-tier MBA programs – 80% of all associates that applied were accepted into a top 3 MBA program and 93% were accepted into a top 10 MBA program. The firm regularly rehires Associates after an MBA program or directly promotes them – 25% of all associates were rehired or promoted to a career track role.<br><br>Qualifications<br><br>The ideal candidate will have a total of 2-3 years of experience working in one of the following:<br>• a technology-focused investment banking role<br>• a venture capital firm<br>• a software-focused private equity role<br>• a software-focused corporate M&A role<br><br>The Investment Associate position requires strong quantitative and analytical abilities and established written and interpersonal skills. Additionally, candidates should be strategically minded with solid business judgment and be familiar with financial statements and financial modeling.
