Research Analyst

Aspiriant is a leading, independent, 100% employee-owned wealth management firm. The Research Analyst will be responsible for updating investment research, creating presentation materials, performing macroeconomic research, and collaborating with teams to deliver data-directed insights.

Responsibilities

  • Update and continuously improve the library of investment research accessing third-party databases, including Bloomberg, Morningstar, FRED, etc
  • Develop high-quality, professional investment presentation materials (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) used in client and firmwide communications
  • Perform macroeconomic research and create visualizations for quarterly publications
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver data-directed insights and scalable research
  • Participate in due diligence and monitoring of investment strategies
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools (including chatbots, application assistants, etc.) to improve quality, efficiency, and scalability of investment research and related workflows
  • Consult with national advisor base on investment related topics and inquiries
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) as well as one or more investment databases (Bloomberg, Morningstar, FRED, etc.)
  • Comfort using, evaluating, and learning AI-enabled tools to support research, analysis, and workflow efficiency, while exercising sound professional judgment
  • Ability to work with, structure and interpret large amounts of economic and financial data while demonstrating excellent attention to detail
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. The Research Analyst will be expected to communicate to a wide range of constituents – internal management, colleagues, clients and asset managers
  • Impeccable ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent personal and professional references
  • A self-starter who takes ownership for their work
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and thoughtful examinations
  • Experience operating successfully in a team-based, rigorous environment. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
  • Zero to three years of experience in an investment management-related industry (asset management, investment banking, endowment, foundation, corporate/public pension fund, family office, wealth management). Exceptional undergraduate candidates will be considered as well
  • Bachelor's Degree in economics, business or finance or related field
  • Progress towards the CFA designation preferred
