  • The Field Service Engineer for Leica Biosystems is responsible for delivering, promoting and selling high quality onsite technical service within Saudi to achieve high customer satisfaction while meeting the Organization’s Revenue & KPI targets.
  • Primary responsibility is performing onsite service & maintenance activities for various histopathology and associated instruments in Leica Biosystems portfolio
  • The Field Service Engineer will also need to be readily available to support customers and colleagues in a proactive and timely fashion with the objective of maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Visit customers for installations, preventative maintenance, repairs, fault analysis and upgrades in order to achieve high customer satisfaction and ensure a professional repair in due time with effective, efficient & safe work practices. Provide phone support & occasional Helpdesk support to reduce customer downtime. Perform root cause analysis in the field or in the business / manufacturing unit.
  • This position is to provide onsite support within Saudi, with occasional support within the EU where necessary.

  • In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Visit customers to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, fault analysis, and upgrades to achieve optimum customer care and
  • ensure a professional repair in due time with effective and efficient working practices contributing to team goals/KPI’s.
  • On-site installation of various Histopathology and ancillary equipment
  • Deliver accurate reporting, handling and timely submission of Salesforce reports, Expenses, Stock management and other relevant
  • service documentation
  • Work closely with Field Support Team to ensure all customers are provided with an industry leading professional After Sales Service within the KPI’s set by Service Management.
  • Co-operate closely with and support the sales team with tasks such as basic training for customers, installations, demonstrations and systems builds.
  • Exchange valuable information resulting from customer contacts to increase customer satisfaction. Document customer information with the CRM & Service management systems in a timely manner. Collect, update & distribute knowledge with the product specialists.
  • The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electronic or Electrical subject.
  • 5 years experience in Field Service or a related field histopathology equipment’s.
  • Knowledge of network configuration and setup such as firewalls and TCP/IP networking components in a Windows environment is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written with ability to communicate across different levels internally and at customer sites
  • Proven ability to learn independently in technical areas and build experience
  • Ability to carry & move up to 25kg safely.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
