Senior Social Media Strategist Senior Social Media Strategist The Work : ICF is seeking a seasoned Social Media Strategist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies tailored specifically for federal clients. You will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to ensure content, posts, and campaigns are strategic, engaging, and aligned with each agency's mission and objectives. Job Location: This position requires that the job be performed in the United States. If you accept this position, you should note that ICF does monitor employee work locations and blocks access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses, and also prohibits personal VPN connections. What You Will Do: • Serve as a senior social media strategist and advisor for federal accounts, partnering with client leadership and internal teams to design and implement integrated strategies aligned with agency priorities and strategic communications goals. • Lead measurable digital engagement strategies grounded in audience research and performance analytics to drive awareness, education, and action. • Provide strategic direction and quality oversight for platform-specific content; ensuring accessibility (Section 508); regulatory compliance; and adherence to each agency's standards, tone, and performance goals. • Develop executive-level briefings and performance reports that translate complex data into actionable insights. • Mentor cross-functional teams and establish scalable best practices to strengthen long-term digital maturity. • Integrate social strategies with earned media outreach efforts. • Provide data-driven counsel and produce high-performing content related to public health, commerce and export related Issues. What You Will Bring With You: Required Basic Qualifications • 10+ years of progressive experience developing and leading integrated social media strategies, preferably supporting federal agencies or commercial clients to include: • Demonstrated experience managing complex, mission-driven digital communications programs with measurable outcomes. • Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders and present strategic recommendations in high-visibility environments. • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust; must reside in and be authorized to work in the U.S. What We Would Like You To Bring With You: • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10+ years of professional experience in social media strategy or digital communications. • Experience with enterprise social listening and management platforms (e.g., Sprout Social, Brandwatch, Sprinklr). • Experience contributing to on-contract growth. Professional Skills: • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex objectives into clear, actionable digital strategies aligned to mission-driven outcomes. • Executive-level communicator with strong presentation and stakeholder influence skills. • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced client environment. • Sound risk awareness and professional judgment when operating in public-facing or regulated communications environments.
