Job Description L&G is looking for a Senior Communications Executive to join our External Communications team within the Corporate Affairs function, playing a key role in delivering our communications strategy across Institutional Retirement and Asset Management. What you'll be doing: • Strategic Communications: Supporting the development and executing of external communications plans enhancing L&G's profile in Institutional Retirement and Asset Management • Media Relations: Building and maintaining strong relationships with financial and business media, managing proactive and reactive engagement positioning L&G as a trusted voice • Agency Management: Overseeing day-to-day activity with PR agencies, ensuring high-quality campaign delivery and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders • Content Development: Collaborating with marketing, public affairs, and internal communications teams creating compelling content and identifying opportunities for thought leadership • Monitoring & Reporting: Monitoring media coverage, providing insightful analysis, and contributing to regular evaluation reporting • Governance & Compliance: Ensuring all communications are complying with regulatory and governance standards, maintaining accuracy and integrity Qualifications Who we're looking for: • Minimum 3 years in financial services communications - agency or in house • Strong understanding of UK financial media and established journalist relationships • Excellent written and verbal communication, strategic thinking, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Collaborative and a true team player, able to build strong relationships and connect across the wider Corporate Affairs function and business teams • Detail-oriented and commercially aware, with a global outlook Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you.
