You will be the main support and direction for your team so it is imperative that you are an outstanding communicator and have strong business acumen paired with Accounting Expertise. You will be responsible for the timely delivery of weekly and monthly financial reporting to clients via your team and will serve as an escalation point and thought partner for your clients. You will be responsible for the accuracy of the data presented and are the last stop for quality control of deliverables. The most successful candidate will be a proven leader and will have a strong background in a multi-client environment, e-commerce, and be extremely tech savvy.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">This role is solutions-oriented and requires proactive engagement to ensure client success.</p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Oversee month-end close and all key accounting-related activities for your pod Financial Package Review: Reviewing Management Reports with Key Metrics Accounting Package Review: Ensuring proper reconciliations for ALL balance sheet accounts and trend analysis for both the balance sheet and P&L</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Inventory Management Review: including reconciling inventory (Physical, Sub to GL), Inventory write off and Obsolescence adjustments, and reviewing individual product costs and ensuring accuracy in inventory software and systems.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Review Accounts Receivable processing and aging reports (no collections)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Review Accounts Payable processing and aging reports and bill payments in <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="http://Bill.com">Bill.com</a> (or related software) for clients</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Review Payroll Processing including journal entries and accruals</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Provide ad hoc reports or details as requested</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Oversee client communications and serve as an escalation point</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Supervise and train team on client and administrative duties</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Help develop SOPs and training documents</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Manage budget for your pod</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Maintain clean files and document storage</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Participate in Training as directed</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Contribute to the internal team as a thought partner</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">5+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">2+ years of experience in a multi-client or consulting role</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">2+ years of experience leading a team</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Advanced level expertise in QBO and Excel</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">NetSuite and Xero experience a huge advantage</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with e-commerce clients is required</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience reconciling Shopify, PayPal, <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="http://bill.com">bill.com</a>, etc. required</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Solid understanding of GAAP and a firm grasp of accounting best practices</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Solid understanding of financial statements and how to evaluate them</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Excellent analytical and communication skills</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time in a remote work environment Proactive and team-centric attitude</p></li></ul>
