Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for delivering high-quality technology and cabling solutions in mission-critical environments? We’re looking for a confident and driven professional to join our Smart Infrastructure team at Computacenter. This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex structured cabling, rack integrations and related technology projects—particularly within data centres—while working with some of the world’s leading organisations.

 

This position will require you to travel internationally on a regular basis. You will also need to have Security Clearance, or the willingness to go through this process.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Leading structured cabling and technology projects within data center environments
  • Managing projects to agreed time, cost, and quality objectives
  • Supporting bid teams with tender responses, design input, pricing, and resource planning
  • Identifying and driving scope growth, variation orders, and commercial opportunities
  • Ensuring all work is compliant with customer and company processes, standards, and statutory obligations
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety across all project sites
  • Providing accurate and timely project documentation, reporting, and planning
  • Line-managing project team members
  • Championing continuous improvement and best practice
  • Pursuing required training and accreditations

 

What you’ll need

 

  • Proven experience managing data center projects (AI factory Builds advantageous)
  • Excellent project management experience within the structured cabling industry
  • Excellent understanding of project controls
  • SMSTS (or equivalent) and valid ECS Health & Safety Manager card
  • Strong CDM regulation knowledge
  • Excellent understanding of structured cabling design and testing procedures
  • Experience producing quotations, surveys, design inputs, and cost models
  • Commercial accountability experience
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Ability to pass Security Clearance
  • Construction background
