Parts Lead – Salina, KS Great Plains is currently seeking a Parts Lead in our Salina Parts Department to supervise and coordinate activities of workers with regard to ordering, receiving, storing, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping, inventorying and maintaining stock records and inventory in the parts department. This position works Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., plus overtime as required. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise work procedures, work schedules, and expedites workflow Practice and teach good safety and document incidentsAccurately complete required paperworkPerform activities of workers supervisedAdvises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problemsOther duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Ability to work overtime to complete tasks, sometimes with minimal noticeGood computer skills and working knowledge of AS400High level of accuracy and attention to detailsExcellent time management and organizational skillsSome management or supervisor experience preferred At Great Plains Manufacturing, our people make the difference, making our company a great place to work and grow.
